Come out and voice your opinion!! We want to hear from You regarding natural resource concerns such as growth & development, soil erosion & sedimentation, flooding, wildlife habitat, and recreation. Your voice is important to help develop new and exciting projects for our group's mission of inspiring stewardship of our unique & special natural resource heritage.
April BUSINESS MEETING & "THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF THE MAZON RIVER"

Time: 4:30pm - 6:00pm (Business Meeting) / 6:00pm - 7:00pm (History & Heritage)
Meeting Place: Carbon Hill History Museum, 875 Second St., Carbon Hill, IL
Join us for a special review of our river's history & heritage. The museum will display old platbooks, geological books, old and current maps, old postcards and photos and storytelling about our unique and special natural resource heritage. Refreshments & snacks provided.
May BUSINESS MEETING & Conservation Visit on Residential Parcel on Brewster Run

Time: 9:30am - 10:30am Conservation visit on residential parcel / 10:45am - Noon Business Meeting.
Meeting Place: McArdle Grain, 9080 South Route 47, Dwight, IL 60420
Meet at McArdle Grain in Dwight and we'll take a quick drive about 1 mile east to visit a local landowner on Brewster Run and see conservation at work in the Mazon River watershed! Join us afterwards for our regular business meeting (optional).

Mazon River Stewardship Initiative meetings are free & open to the public. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend to learn about upcoming challenges within the watershed and how we can work together to make a difference.
The Mazon River Stewardship Initiative holds monthly business meetings in addition to our "Stewardship Series of Events & Lectures". The purpose of a business meeting is to review the status of current projects, coordinate next steps, plan for future events, & build upon our community of like minded individuals interested in making a difference within our watershed.
